Providing Healthy Smiles
with a Gentle Touch
At a certain point in life, brushing your teeth becomes more of a habit than anything else. You go through the motions by continuing the health routine you started long ago. However, oftentimes it is not enough. Here are three questions you can ask yourself next time you brush your teeth.
Most of the time the bigger the better does apply, but when it comes to toothbrushes, you don’t want it to be too big. You want it small enough to reach the corners of your mouth. And bristles that are too firm are counterproductive – they will scrape too much off of your teeth. But soft bristles are the perfect texture to get all the plaque off your teeth.
This is where most people tend to form bad habits when brushing teeth. They think they get the major potential problem areas but are actually missing the key one. Brush your gum line rather than just the tops of your teeth and angle the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle for optimum results.
In order to make sure that people are thoroughly brushing their teeth, a lot of people choose to brush to the tune of a two minute song. The spots that are often forgotten are the inner sides of the front teeth, the inner side of back molars, and the tongue.
If you are able to answer these questions with a “yes,” then you will have healthy teeth.
